About Me

Integrative Consultant

Jennie Brewer is a physician, guide, and lifelong student of what it means to heal. Her path began in medicine, but over time she became interested in the space between treatment and healing. Today, she offers education, consultation, and guidance grounded in clinical expertise and informed by a deep curiosity about human growth, transformation, and the many paths that can lead us back to ourselves.

The common thread of Jennie’s educational journey has been a desire to understand what it means to be human. She studied neurobiology and English literature at the University of California, Berkeley, followed by medical school at the University of Michigan and dual residency training in Family Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego. She is board-certified in both specialties and spent years working with individuals facing severe and treatment-resistant mental health conditions.

Over time, Jennie became interested in questions that extended beyond diagnosis and symptom management. While conventional approaches to care can be profoundly helpful, she often sensed that many patients were searching for something more—a deeper understanding of themselves, their experiences, and their capacity for healing. This curiosity led her to explore a range of perspectives alongside her clinical work, including dreamwork, hypnotherapy, Reiki, shamanic traditions, and other approaches that seek to illuminate the psychological, relational, spiritual, and symbolic dimensions of human experience.

At the same time, life was asking Jennie to rebuild herself. As she navigated profound personal challenges, she found herself reexamining long-held assumptions about identity, healing, and what it means to move forward when familiar structures no longer fit. The insights gained through this process continue to inform her work today and have given her a particular passion for supporting others through periods of transformation, uncertainty, and change.

"Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being, but by integration of the contraries.”

"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it, and embrace them."
